Covered walkways for schools

A covered walkway is a roofed, connecting path between buildings, keeping pupils and staff dry moving around a site. It is the answer for split sites and modular classrooms where the route between blocks is otherwise open to the weather.

Dry between blocks

Free-standing across a yard or lean-to along a building, sized to the path.

Controlled drainage

Covered walkways questions

What is a covered walkway?

It is a roofed, connecting path between school buildings, built from a powder-coated steel frame with a polycarbonate roof, so pupils and staff can move between blocks without getting wet. The width, height and drainage are set to the route at survey.

Can a walkway connect to our other canopies?

Yes. A walkway can run into an entrance canopy, a dining canopy or a playground canopy so the circulation route and the covered spaces join up as one sheltered scheme, designed and installed together.
